You can connect up to three players on the free plan with a maximum speed of 4 Mb/ sec, which would be enough for moderately graphics intensive games. Make sure your friend is active when you are trying to connect. Select an IP address and click on the big blue button to connect. Tell your friend to log into NetOverNet client and use the same credentials to join the network for a remote connection. Download the client with your account logged in to use it for multiplayer LAN gaming right away. Create an account and you will get IP addresses in the dashboard. NetOverNet does not kid around with a complex first-time setup. It is compatible with many popular games, including games from companies like EA, Activision, and more. The software is free to download and use, and it is available for Windows and macOS computers. You can join game rooms for different games, invite your friends to play with them or join public game rooms to play with other GameRanger users. The Hamachi like software also provides players with detailed statistics of each game, including the number of games played, wins and losses, etc. Chat with each other while in the game rooms, make friends lists, and host their own games. If your app has an overlay, like Steam's in-game overlay, keep in mind that Parsec will still show it.It serves as a platform for creating and joining online game rooms for a variety of multiplayer games, including older titles that might not have official support for online multiplayer anymore.If you minimize the app, close it, or an application that is not on the whitelist has focus, the screen will freeze and say "The host is doing something else right now.If the app is in fullscreen, then only the app will be shown to the people connected.If your approved app is in windowed, the guests will still be able to see everything around it, like the image below.The guests can also see overlays (like Steam's) in that approved application. If your approved app isn't in fullscreen mode, keep in mind that people can still see everything else in the screen. Note, however, that whenever one of the approved apps are the active window, Parsec will display the entire screen. This is especially useful to prevent guests from doing unwanted stuff if you manually gave them keyboard and mouse permission. Whenever the host or a guest switches to any application that isn't approved, the entire screen will freeze for the guests and they will be unable to control anything. For anything else, Parsec may actually be lacking some permissions. You can check if the Parsec service is running correctly.If you plan to host those, you will need to turn off Approved Apps Xbox GamePass and other UWP apps from the Microsoft Store don't show in the list currently.There may be cases in which an application will not show up in this list: Launch the application(s) that should be added to the whitelist.This article covers how to configure Approved Apps. Please note this feature is currently available on Parsec app for Windows only. If you intend to allow friends to control your desktop, we recommend disabling Approved Apps. We highly recommend configuring Approved Apps, if you only intend to only allow friends to interact with certain applications, or inviting people to a session with Guest Access. This means that the only apps people can see and interact with are the applications added to the Approved Applications whitelist. For an added layer of security, a host is able to enforce an approved applications list.
